The Novella Project is a writing opportunity made available to Central Magnet School students.  If you attend another school and would like to participate, I can work out a schedule to help fulfill your dream of self-publishing.

Stage 1 -  Write

One of the hardest things you will do is to develop a story idea that you will stick with for an entire academic year.  Think long and hard on this one.

Deadlines for the Novella Project: (2016- 2017 dates - new dates coming soon)

September 1:    10 pages due 
November 1:     20 pages /Parent edit due
December 1:     30 pages/ Creative Writing Lab signatures - 4 visits required
January 1:           40 pages due
February 1:        1st draft of cover due/
                                  50  pages due
March 1:              First Draft due  (Peer edit)

Stage 3 - Publish

After state testing: Publishing with Create Space
Last Week of School: CMS Book Signing (Parents are welcome to attend.)

Students will be selected for a book signing at Linebaugh Library and potentially Barnes & Noble.
